This week I’m headed to Coachella, it’s my first time attending the festival. To say I am excited is an understatement! I have been prepping for the event all month; spending hours on Pinterest looking for festival style inspiration. So much so that bohemian fashion is starting to rub off on my personal style. Specifically, in this post, where I’m wearing a new style trend—bleach splattered denim—paired with a tie front top and suede choker.
When I was living in Florida, I used to wear bohemian clothes all the time, but since moving to NYC, my style has become edgier. I’ve noticed that your environment heavily influences the way you put an outfit together for both aesthetical and functional reasons. The experience of living in two drastically different states has thus evolved my style. Now when I reference bohemian in my fashion looks, the final product is Boho with an edge.
I bought these one-of-a-kind jeans from Urban Outfitters’ Urban Renewal Collection. They are hand-bleached Levi’s with a broken-in and relaxed fit (each pair varies from what you see in the picture). Just like its denim cousin from the 80’s, acid wash, bleach-splattered denim makes a statement. If you are bored of your classic denim and want to brighten up your wardrobe for summer, this is the way to go. You can even bleach a pair of old jeans with this DIY method. Stay tuned for more boho-inspired looks in Palm Springs!
