I am currently sitting in my living room where the morning sun is creating a glare on my computer screen that I am fighting with to write this post. It’s a beautiful day here in Naples, but I can’t help think about everyone who is battling the tundra conditions up North. I really hope that you all are staying safe and warm. As you can see from my outfit, the weather in Florida has been rather warm. With the exception of a few windy days (and tornado warnings :/), I have been able to get by with just a light sweater. However, I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss some of the fun things about winter, especially after seeing everyone’s snow day posts.
Okay, so now about what I am wearing. This is a matching set I found online at Free People. Coordinated outfits used to mean that you lacked creativity and imagination, which is no longer the case given that everyone has been embracing them. By no means is this a new phenomenon, for a few seasons matchy-matchy has been the sophisticated outfit of choice. Between celebrities and street style stars, there have been countless variations of the look worn. This winter the matching sets are even more modernized than before, slicker than slick if you ask me.
Matching sets are less fuss, they are very versatile, and can be dressed up or down. THE best thing about them is that you can wear the items separately. Sort of like that matching swimsuit you buy and then end up mixing the pieces with other swimsuits sets. Don’t get me wrong though, I think it is more powerful when worn together. Free People has even dedicated an entire section on their website to “Sets,” which makes me believe that this is becoming more of a staple than just a trend. I included some of my favorite sets from their website below on the occasion that you want to check them out!
