Denim jackets have always been an American style staple, standing out in sartorial history and representing tradition. Levi’s Jeans is a long standing classic brand that is infamous for designing not only bottoms, but denim jackets. The brand really knows a thing or two about outerwear—especially when it comes to their Levi’s Trucker Jacket—a niche style of jacket nicknamed after Truck drivers.
Denimheads (aka people passionate about denim) loved the way Truckers looked in their distressed denim jackets whilst being on the road. Their rise in popularity led others to wear the jacket, making their own version of the worn-in look. It was truly a style of outwear everyone went crazy about. Many decades later, we are now seeing the Levi’s Trucker Jacket trending again and I couldn’t be more into it.
Vintage Levi’s Trucker Jackets are specifically coveted because they come distressed for you. I scoured Etsy for the one I am wearing now. Search “Levi’s Trucker Jackets” and you will be sure to discover many vintage options in different textures and colours (I love the ones with a sherpa lining the best.). Urban Outfitters also sells new ones if you want to distress the jacket on your own… Good luck! 🙂
