Malibu is truly a magical city. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Mountains, I had the pleasure of visiting this natural beauty with my family a couple of weeks ago. Every time I have the opportunity to travel, I always try to capture my journey through a camera lens for the memories. Although photographs will never do a place like this justice, I enjoy the process of taking them just as much as exploring. What makes me the happiest is the intimate moments I share with myself and the camera.
I am excited to post some of these moments from my trip in hopes that you will enjoy them too. My family and I started our adventure to Malibu by driving up the Santa Monica Mountains. Out of all of the places I have visited in Southern California, the homes we saw that day had the most breathtaking views. This part of the mountain wasn’t a national park, rather a neighborhood. I found it astonishing that this was a place people called home. There is something so peaceful and humbling about being surrounded by nature.
After taking in all of the beautiful scenery, we decided to reserve a table at Nobu, a world renowned restaurant chain and a local’s favorite spot to dine. Nobu is the definition of experiential dining. If you ever get the chance to dine there, I suggest you brace yourself for some delicious food and celebrity sightseeing. We continued our day driving down the Pacific Coast Highway, stopping for yummy gelato, and watching the sun set upon the Santa Monica Pier. With a little help from my camera, this was a trip to remember.
